In honor of Woman Crush Wednesday (#WCW), and for the inaugural Well Rounded Wednesday on the Zappos Blog, I hereby publicly admit that I have a massive girl crush on Meghan Trainor.
Only 20 years old at the time of this writing, Ms. Trainor has been writing songs since she was 11, produced her first tracks at 13, at 18 was signed a songwriting deal, writing for Rascall Flats and an assortment of Disney stars. By now, most of us have heard her amazing body-love anthem “All About That Bass”- and celebrated that amazing line “Cause every inch of you is perfect, from the bottom to the top.” Body acceptance and love are amazing things that we all struggle with some days- especially when we face the dreaded dressing room mirror. Trainor says, "I wrote this song because I myself struggle with this concept of self-acceptance. It was written from a real place so I’m glad that other people can relate to it.”
Some days it can be a challenge to find clothing that compliments your body while being on-trend and in-style when you have hips, curves- and maybe a few extra inches from your bottom to your top.
